The Rock at La Cantera Announces First-Ever Oktoberfest and Fall Lineup

The Rock at La Cantera today announced its fall lineup of events, featuring an Oktoberfest celebration on Friday, Oct. 11. Beginning in September, The Rock will host a handful of festive activities at Frost Plaza to mark the change of the season.

Oktoberfest at The Rock will mark the Bavarian celebration of fall, featuring Stein hoist contests, authentic German food and drinks, live music with headliner “The Seven Dutchmen” and a market with seasonal-themed vendors. Oktoberfest at The Rock will take place on Friday, Oct. 11 from 6 to 11 p.m. and is open to all ages. General admission tickets include access to complimentary beer, wine and spirits tasting and are available now on Eventbrite.

The Rock will also host an 80’s Night on Saturday, Oct. 26 complete with themed music and a costume contest. The event with be headlined by Eclipse, a Journey tribute band, with Fire and Ice, a Pat Benatar tribute band. Both bands will play all the hits of the 80’s to Frost Plaza all night long. Tickets to 80’s Night at The Rock are available now on Eventbrite.

The Rock will be hosting many other events to close out the summer and start the fall festivities:

  • First Friday Flix of the Month – Every first Friday of the month, bring the whole family out to Frost Plaza to catch a kid-friendly film starting at 7:30 p.m.
  • Fourth Friday at The Rock – Every fourth Friday of the month, Frost Plaza will have live music and local vendors for shoppers to browse and enjoy the entertainment from 6 to 11 p.m.
  • Gather for Gamedays – With the Spurs season tipping off on Oct. 24, all of the team’s games will be shown on the big screen all season long. Beginning in September, college football games will be played on Saturdays with NFL action streamed on Sunday, plus other key matchups on weekdays. Game times will vary.
  • Rhythm and Beats Every Third Saturday – Catch this celebration of good music and good times with a lineup of local DJs every third Saturday of each month from 2 to 6 p.m., with September’s event taking place from 7 to 11 p.m. The upcoming lineup of fall events is available at TheRockatLaCantera.com.
